Joe G. Swesey, age 52, died at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento on August 27, 2017. The cause was heart failure.

Born December 17, 1965 in Sacramento, to Ben and Linda Swesey, he attended Herman Leimbach, James Rutter and graduated from VALLEY High School in 1982. Joe enjoyed playing football and golf. His favorite football team was the Raiders! His hobbies included working on his truck and recreation boating.

He lived in Sacramento his full life, worked at Teichert construction and at one time owned his own plumbing business. He had to retire early due to back problems. He was married twice.

Joe will be especially remembered for his talents in remodeling, modernizing and restoration of homes. He put much love and effort into improving the houses of his close family and friends.  Joe was well known for his quick witted, sarcastic humor, spirit of adventure, and the resiliency that allowed him to claw his way out of just about any situation, he had as many lives as a cat!

Survivors include son Joseph and daughter Brooke of Oregon, mother Linda, half brothers Greg and Jeff Beck, sisters Tammy, Shauna, Stacey and Sara and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father Ben and younger brother Kevin.
